About Us

On North Main Street in Milton-Freewater, Lodge #2146 is the kind of place where someone who's been a member for thirty years still holds the door open for someone who just walked in for the first time. The bar conversation flows easily, the prices won't make you wince, and the crowd is exactly what a small Oregon town does best: genuine.

Members rate this lodge 4.7 out of 5, and the reviews tell you why. Reunions happen here. Mac Hi classmates from the class of '78 and '79 packed the room and called the night perfect. Wounded Warriors gather here. Families celebrate here. The atmosphere is clean, the dues are reasonably priced, and the staff shows up ready to make your event work.

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has stood for community service, patriotism, and charitable giving since 1868, and Lodge #2146 carries that mission into the Walla Walla Valley with the kind of local warmth that no national organization can manufacture. This is the real thing.

What We Offer

Lodge #2146 offers a full-service members' lounge with a bar, comfortable seating, and the kind of relaxed atmosphere that makes a Tuesday night feel like a Friday. Membership dues are kept reasonable so the lodge stays accessible to working families and retirees alike.

The lodge also hosts private events and reunions, with accommodations that members describe as genuinely nice, music that fits the room, and pricing that respects your budget. Whether your group is twenty people or a full class reunion, the staff handles the details so you can focus on the people.

Beyond the social side, Elks Lodge #2146 is deeply invested in community service: youth programs, veteran support, scholarship funds, and charitable giving are woven into everything this lodge does. Membership means joining something that gives back to Milton-Freewater long after the last round is poured.

"We had a great time with the Mac Hi classmates of classes 78 & 79 last night! Wounded staff, great accommodations, nice music, very nice prices, everything was perfect! We were thrilled to be able to meet up at the MF Elks. The class of 78 had our 2nd reunion here, and we have wanted to come back. I called in advance to set it up, the staff were very accommodating. We had such a good time seeing old friends. The membership cost are reasonable, and the menu price quit good. Many of us had the $22 prime rib special! They talked to us about joining/membership before we left. Several in our group are thinking about joining. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and plan to be back again! Thank you for everything!"

"My wife and I are members of the Elk Lodge. Located in Milton Freewater, OR. On the old main street. Clean. The atmosphere is pleasant. Dues are reasonably priced. Much better than Walla Walla, WA. They have dinners, that are reasonably priced, for what you get. The service, is good. Drinks, are cheaper than most of the surrounding area. We also go there to play steel tip darts, in the Milton Milton-Freewater Dart Association Dart League. You don't have to be a member to be on the dart league. Overall, it's a nice place to hangout."

"I believe if people spent more than a few hours here one day then they would realize that this place is a home away from home for some people who may not have any other social space. Especially, the senior/elderly persons who are looking to get out and feel like they are a part of something. This lodge is under new leadership and I believe they will do all in their power to make this a welcoming environment for EVERYONE regardless of social status. This lodge does a great deal for the community in regards to charity work and donations. During the Holiday season, every year, this lodge has donated baskets of food and toys to needy families in the Milton-Freewater and surrounding communities. They host dinners for homeless Veterans throughout the year and donate needed supplies for the Vets. The lodge also raises thousands of dollars every year for Camp MeadoWood Springs which is a summer camp for speech and hearing impaired children."
